Auckland company Endace Ltd is committed to constant innovation to retain and strengthen its position as a world leader in very high speed network monitoring solutions.
The company’s technology provides the means to ensure communication infrastructures are free from intrusion, viruses, spam-email and denial-of-service attacks. Endace initially provided the core card of a monitoring system, but is now focused on moving up the value chain, delivering the entire system for networks up to ten Gigabits in one appliance.
Endace NinjaProbe® appliances allow all activity on high speed networks to be monitored and captured, enabling undesirable traffic to be removed or delayed, suspicious traffic examined, sensitive traffic encrypted, and malicious traffic collected for evidence – without alerting even the most sophisticated users. Exploding demand for increased network security is one driver of rapid growth at Endace. Others include the need for more rigorous regulatory compliance, service level performance monitoring, and financial network performance tuning.
Endace is a global business with offices in the United Kingdom (UK), the United States (US) and Singapore, and sells its products in over 30 countries. The US accounts for around 60 percent of sales. Its prestigious client list includes national and global telecommunication carriers, government security and lawful intercept services, and Internet-reliant corporate customers in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Its research and development staff are based mainly in Hamilton and the company has a head office and growing development team in Auckland.
Endace has enjoyed strong export growth in recent years. Revenues are forecast to exceed US$16 million in the 2007 financial year. The development of the Endace NinjaProbe® network monitoring appliance family gives the company access to a worldwide market for network security judged to be worth US$1 billion, ten times the size of the market for the monitoring cards alone.
Endace has won numerous awards including the Microsoft NZ High Growth Company of the Year at the PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards in 2006, and the Information and Communication Technology Award at the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards in 2006. Endace was ranked the 20th fastest growing New Zealand company in the 2006 Deloitte Asia Pacific Fast 500 and is a former finalist in the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Export Awards
